Written by playwright, actress, and singer Lizzie Guest, this is a play perfect for teens and adults who have once felt that they didn’t fit in. Guest brings her comedic voice and piercing wit to this play that’s rooted in current culture. Her inspiration for writing began during Lindsay Mendez’s Actor’s Therapy. Here, actress and producer Sas Goldberg told them that instead of waiting for roles that they want to play, they should write it themselves.

For Guest, (DE)CODED the Comedy is a reflection of her own experiences during high school and college as she dealt with social anxiety. Fans of “Be More Chill” and “Spring Awakening” will appreciate the play’s rebellious spirit and unique humor.
